Activities of Alumni of Government General Degree College at Kharagpur II

Alumni Association will be registered very soon but beside that our alumni contribute significantly to the development of the institution through various support services. The alumni association of the college, Government General Degree College at Kharagpur II was formed through a resolution taken by the Alumni Committee of the college in presence Teachers’ Council in 2024. Its purpose was to assist the college administration in various events organized by the college as an important stakeholder in the process. However, being fresh pass-outs, many were involved in higher studies and pursuing various career options, which considerably limited their participation in college affairs despite the best of intentions. At our college some of the alumni are continuously participating in various cultural programs such as Basanta Utsab, Freshers' welcome, Agamoni etc. A few Alumni of this college keep motivating new students during the Freshers' welcome and help in the maintenance of the College's Experimental Garde. Our various departments organised their departmental reunion. Our alumni association organised a plantation program in the college campus and they also take initiative in nature saving awareness program at college.
